Mr. Jeff Williams is excited to join GSIS as the Elementary School Principal this year. Coming from the American International School of Lusaka, Zambia, Mr. Williams began his teaching career in Washington State, USA where he taught middle school math and science. First and foremost a teacher, he has taught many subjects since and loves the “craft” of teaching. Mr. Williams recognizes the huge impact education has on the life of every child and moved into administration in order to inspire that passion in his colleagues.
With a rich history of life experiences before being “called” into education, Mr. Williams graduated from the University of Texas, then completed his post-graduate work, a Masters of Education, with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction and his Principal’s Credentials with City University of Seattle, WA.
Mr. Williams and his wife, Susan, team-taught middle school for seven years in Papua, Indonesia after a career in Washington State public schools. Susan will continue her profession by providing English Language support to GSIS elementary students as well as serving as the Reading Specialist. Mr. and Mrs. Williams have three married children and three grandsons currently living in Alaska, North Carolina and Santiago, Chile.
