Mrs. Gita Peterson has been with GSIS since it first opened in 2006. She began her time at GSIS as the Grade One teacher and became the PYP / Curriculum Coordinator in 2007.
Her job involves guiding the teachers, parents and students in the elementary school through the IB PYP authorization process. This process includes incorporating the PYP Learner Profiles, Attitudes and Concepts into all areas of the curriculum, designing curriculum documents that not only meet IB requirements but also meet the needs of our students, planning and implementing professional development for all staff members and keeping parents up to date with changes.
Prior to Mrs. Peterson’s arrival in Korea, she taught in Egypt, Japan, the U.S. and Australia.
