Mr. Thomas Hwang is the Business Administrator for Gyeonggi-Suwon International School (GSIS). His job involves management of the Facilities Department, Purchase Department, Finance Department, Classified Personnel Department, and General Affairs Department. He is also responsible for Classified-Staff resource management and Business Affairs.
Mr. Hwang was recruited and relocated from Washing DC Metro area to Korea by his former employer in the US to serve as a company representative for Korea’s biggest Navy project. His job involved managing projects with Korean contractors as well as contractors in Norway and France, and liaison work between Korean and US governments. His background includes,but not limited to systems engineering, software development, construction business operation, IT management, contract management, government relations, and project management.
Mr. Hwang decided to leave his 15+ years in the defense industry and join GSIS because of the positive impact TCIS made on his family. He believes it is the grace of God that has given him and his family a chance to grow and serve the greater GSIS community. Mr. Hwang completed his undergraduate degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics/Master Electrical Engineering Discipline at the University of Maryland, and is currently working on completing his MBA.
